Mr Wijesinghe is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon practising within the NHS at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital. He did his medical training at St John's College Cambridge, and Addenbrooke's Hospital, where he was awarded the Lewin Prize in Surgery.
Having qualified in 1990 he did his Registrar training in Yorkshire and his MD thesis at Leeds University. He was awarded the Young Investigator Prize of the European Society
of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery in 1998 and the Medal of The Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland in 2001.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and member of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland, the European Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, and the International Hyperhidrosis Society. |

Mr Wijesinghe is experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of the complete range of vascular disorders ranging from varicose veins and thread veins to aortic aneurysms and carotid surgery. He also specialises in the treatment of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and cosmetic treatment of fine facial lines.
He is usually available to see private patients at the Wimborne Clinic on Tuesday mornings. Appointments can be made by leaving your details with Julie Leonard, his private secretary on 01202 303477. Charges will vary depending on the type and length of consultation you will require.
