How Injured People Who Are Active And Play Sport Can Get Back To Being Fit, From Frustrating Sports Injuries That Stop You In Your Tracks!

How Injured People Who Are Active And Play Sport Can Get Back To Being Fit, From Frustrating Sports Injuries That Stop You In Your Tracks!

…So, Here is Where to start

Get Your Free Sports Injury Guide

Within these top tips we will show you exactly how people suffering with a sports injury can improve it, before it gets much worse!  This advice has been followed by many of our patients who we have helped over the years.  Our focus is to improve their quality of life with a better nights sleep, less worry about what is going on, more energy and of course less pain.  Sometimes it is hard to know where to start, so we have produced this report to get you started, with the peace of mind that we are talking from experience of managing many different sports injuries.

“I was unsure where to go or what to do for quite a long time, and there were so many choices available for treatment, I was confused and chose nothing, then kept waiting in hope that my shoulder injury would get better.  Seeing that I could access some (free) information from specialists in sports injury was a great way to allow me to understand some things I could start to do immediately to get back to Rugby!  However, this only took me to first base on my recovery, so I found out more about what could be done – and I’ve never looked back”

Can you relate to this sense of frustration?

Tom’s is a common story of frustration and trying to manage a sports injury, wondering what’s wrong, when will it get better and/or how long it will take to get back to being active again.  We know a lot of people will turn to their GP, who will often give them advice like rest, take pain medications, or wear a splint and “see how it goes”.  We also hear a lot of people, who value their health not happy with just doing these things.  Of course, there is a need to reduce certain activities at times, but we also know if this doesn’t work it only worsens the frustration.

The problem with the unknown and leaving it longer means that you start to develop ways of moving to compensate for the problem, which then become part of the problem too!  Therefore this then leads to more confusion to where the problem is coming from, and then this leads to more annoyance and irritation with what to do about it and where to go to get the solution.

Does it sound like a familiar story..

Over the collective 40 years of hearing people’s stories or concerns about why their body is letting them down, whilst doing the thing they love to do, there has definitely been a common thought, “it will go away” or “why hasn’t it gone”.

It is easy to get disheartened with a sports injury as being active contributes so much to your overall well-being.  You can often feel like you are going around in circles, with time, rest and pills, with that ever nagging question in your head …

“Am I going to get back to playing sport, like I did before this sports injury?”

Now living in such a wonderful part of the country with so many active things to do, then we have seen many people asking that very question, and often being denied getting back to their sport or exercise, through indecision and not knowing where to turn.

So what to do…

I had a complicated history of back and hip pain, that was initially thought to be requiring a hip replacement. I went on to see two specialists, and they actually recommended physiotherapy. I was advised to come to The Wimborne Clinic, after suffering with continued restrictions to my daily activities. The professional reception the clinic offers and then the treatment which got to the root of the problem and got me back to being active.
